Data Policies

It's important that you review the policies around how we manage your data, including messages, images, videos, audio and attachments

• All data is stored in the cloud

• No data encryption is used - either to store, transmit or process any data. Tuotr is not designed or meant for secure communication

• All images, videos, audio and documents are accessible via a publicly accessible link - but only if you or another user in the room shares it. This is similar to a student sharing class notes with someone else, or forwarding a WhatsApp video. Another reason you should only use Tuotr for legitimate learning activities only.

  • Never enter or store any information, audio, images, video etc., that must be under strict privacy or access control. Tuotr works like most chat applications - any user can copy and forward everything he/she can access.

  • If you must have access control over content, use another third-party application and share the link directly with that user.

• Holding on to your data costs us money on the cloud. Data will be deleted once you stop paying the subscription. All rooms you have created, users, chats, attachments etc. will get deleted. We do not store backups for you to retrieve later, even if you are willing to pay for it.

  • You and all users will lose all the data permanently, even that data that is temporarily stored on your devices.

  • If attachments are important, you need to store them on your device or cloud storage at your costs, before stopping the subscription.
